TRAVEL BUDDY
Travel Buddy is an app I designed & created with a team that is geared towards travelers who want to personalize their experience by integrating a categorization of their interest and a collaboration of different travelers to bring them together for a social travel experience.
THE PROBLEM & OPPORTUNITY
Millions of people travel to foreign destinations throughout the year, often alone in a city that is completely foreign to them, not knowing the language, culture, transportation is often scary and daunting. Travel Buddy aims to create and connect a community of travelers of shared interests, allowing them to meet one another, and recommend them to popular attractions and sites in their city. With Travel Buddy, we enable you to meet travelers, create plans, venture and explore together!

PROTOTYPE #1
For our first prototype iteration we looked into creating our project all with the help of Google Suite applications. Our group wanted to leverage the ability of Google Sheets, Docs and Maps.
User Flow

PROTOTYPE #2
Focused on a big emphasis on streamlining the process of the user flow by building better interaction and pairing system.

For the quiz/game we created and catered the answers to better find and pair users into the respective chat rooms. The final chat rooms created were 4 categories, Unique, Foodie, Typical and Active. The quiz better reflects these options with 10 questions and 4 options per section.

Code was added to automatically count the color and show the user which chat room they should be sorted into. By adding conditional functionality, and color counting into the google sheets helped streamline the process of informing the user where to navigate.
Once sorted into the respective chat rooms on the google sheets, users can navigate to the specific Google Doc page to chat with other users and begin making their plans. A custom-made Google map was added to aid users to begin their conversation based on local locations for the type of traveler they are.

LOW-FIDELITY PROTOTYPE
This imagery model would allow for testers to click through various pages in the mock-up application. This was a model to see how we could shift away from using the Google Suit products given we the time and resource to code an application that could fulfill it.
